I'm a Kroc fellow reject who has loved audio storytelling for a long time, but I didn't know how to break in. A radio producer advised me circa 2007 to "just start making audio." I sat on that advice for several years until podcasting came around and blew the doors open. I won a microphone in a Third Coast giveaway in 2016, which I took as a good omen, and I just went ahead and started making audio in 2017. I'm the creator, host, and [insert every possible title here] of Tertulia, a podcast in Spanish about Spanish-speaking culture in the United States. I've contributed bilingual audio reporting for the podcasts Racist Sandwich and ¿Qué Pasa, Midwest? and written for Bello Collective.
